Do you know who people usually tease and why?
People tend to tease those who get irritated easilyand over-react in any way... may be by being abusive or making faces or even making a grim face and walking away!!
When teased people do these, the teasers get the fun!
So, point 1: Stop getting irritated
Also, teasers usually tend to find multiple people to tease, so that if one of them stops responding to their comments, they can move to the next target and get fun!
Try this: No offence: but have seen it work with a friend! Join them in laughing with them about whatever they comment on your name or anything else about you! If possible, add some more funny comments to what they say about you! And agree to them!
Soon, they will see there is no fun in teasing you anymore because you dont get irritated or angry!

They don't tease you because of your name. they have found something in your personality which prompts them. study well and try to top. consult your parents or well wishers, and overcome and correct that part of your personality which causes the problem. If the foreign minister of a major country can have the name -lee bum suk - and if he had no problems while visiting the USA, imon should have no problems at all.

Young people often make fun of differences in people and things they are not familiar with (like an uncommon name). They often do this without realizing that it is hurtful. Try not to take it personal. Sometimes teasing is done in fun and you are expected to laugh and tease back (especially if you are a boy). However, if you are being treated meanly and feel unsafe you need to do to tell a teacher whats going on.
When people get older we learn to appreciate things that are different and they then become valuable.

Get a nickname for yourself such as "Mike". Tell people your name is Imon but you prefer people calling you "Mike" or something like that.
