I have this office mate, who REALLY gets on my nerves.She is selfish, arrogant, bosterous and treats people really bad. When you first see her you think that she's really sweet, cause she behaves like a kitty, but afterwards she shows up her real self. She had a bf & we never used to go out together, but now that he broke up with her she has become really hysterical & I really feel so sorry about her, so I'm always trying to comfort her, talk to her & make her cheer up.But she is so ungrateful.When she stops crying she comes back like the bi*ch she is. She is always asking me for favors & asking me to hung out with her (just cause nobody else can bear her). She never helps anybody, she uses people only when she needs them. I'm really tired of her. I can't bear her anymore.
Please tell me, what can I do to get rid of her in a gentle way??? I don't want to be harsh, but I just don't want to go out with her, or have her around. What should I do???

Just tell her you are busy and try to avoid her. You don't have to stop talking to her but just come up with some exuses all the time. "I can't go out today, I have too many things to catch up on" etc. That way she'll get the message.

Why dont you simply come out and ask her why she is the way she is. Be straight forward. You did all you could to be friendly.

you should tell her how you feel in a nice way
and then explain to her that her negative energy is bringing you down and if she cant change she needs to stay far away from you
