It should automatically appear on your check, but be sure to track your hours before and after the date of Oct 1 (Sunday). You are only intitled to the new wage starting with days worked Oct 1 and after. If you check is wrong, then bring it up to your employer.

Also keep in mind that the downside to raising the minimum wage is that the expenses for the employer are now higher. I know a few I work with who are firing 1 or 2 people because they can't afford the higher expenses in their businesses.

You have to talk to your employer a.s.a.p.
If you don't, they might not change your wages at all. Make sure that you get the acknowledgment in writing...
