I tired of these money making bands and artists, britney 50cent, madonna....tell me a band or artist that is no so much famous but it has great music (please no country and metal)

There are TONS of bands out there with great music that have never appeared on any of the charts. Check out college radio, that's where you can hear new stuff you've never heard before.

I totally agree with Spanier88. You really need to listen to college radio stations.

Jazz music is probably the least commercial music out there. especially the music on this station: http://www.wkcr.org/
Another great jazz station that is slightly more commercial, but still really good is: http://wbgo.org/defaultDrive.asp
There is a real lot of great music out there, but you do have to seek it out.
PS-Try the Grateful Dead. For me, they were the first band that steered me away from all the crap.
Another PS-If you need some inspiration getting into the music as your listening to it, then listen to any one instrument and follow it with your ear. It could get interesting.
