The only information I can find out about Michael Essien and Manchester United was written on 16th March 2005, when Michael was praising Manchester United and Alex up by saying that their Stadium was wonderful and that he liked Sir Alex a lot, and was quoted as saying " I would like to play in the English Premiership as a Red Devil on day".

why would chelsea, a team with unlimited funds (okay, not quite) sell one of their best players to one of their rivals? essien doesn't even want to move, and man u probably don't want to sign him. i bet you read it in some shitty tabloid. some guy who i wait with for my bus, also in his early 20s, comes to me with a new rumour every week. this morning.....
