Narcissists don't think they need treatment because they believe they're practically perfect in every way. A true narcissist believes that if anyone has a problem, it's YOU.

narcissistic people don't see they have problems. They see the people around them as causing problems in their lives. I've got a sister in law who is a true narcissistic personality disorder, she is raising children who are just like her, my brother is avoidant and is a work-a-holic so as to avoid her.

The world according to a narcissist is they have no flaws and the world around would be great if it only listened to them and obeyed. The treatment of a narcissist is virtually impossible and treatment outcomes for this type of personality disorder is not good.

yes, I am married to one and no, he's not getting treatment. He feels as though he doesn't need the treatment.
