I don't have a high school diploma or GED. VCU looked at my grades and SAT scores and offered me a full scholarship after my junior year of high school.

If your grades/SAT are good, you shouldn't need community college. The thing about VCU's art school, is that they're not especially picky about who they accept- but they make the first year really intense to try and wash people out. The first year is almost exclusively art-related classes; doing a double major will be challenging.

You don't need to go to a community college first, but with a GED your chances of being accepted to VCU are pretty low. Its a good idea to get two years of community college, get good grades and then transfer.

I also got a GED. But, I went straight to the University. I didn't have to go to a community college first. Check with the VCU's registrar's office. They should be able to answer your questions. Good luck!

To study pharmacy, you must have about 2 years of gen eds before transferring. Most pharmacy programs are very selective.

NO!!! the last grade I finished was 8th grade. I recieved my GED with honors back in the mid 90's and the college gladly took me. They do a placement test when you're in admissions, do well on that and you'll be fine. how else do you think all the foreigners get in? sure they have a deploma, but its another language. its all about placement.
