While this was intended to be humorous, the answer would have to be whatever music he liked.

It is really easy to change Steve into a caricature of himself- heck, he did half the work for us! But he was a real person with different aspects, real likes and dislikes, kids, pets, hobbies that don't involve animals, etc.

For all we know, he was an opera buff and some great arias would be appropriate.

Having said that, I'd go for:

Peter Allen's 'Tenterfield Saddler'
Paul Kelly's 'Black and White' or 'From Little Things Big Things Grow'
Music celebrating nature- John Denver, Enya, Phillip Glass (Koyaaniqatsi), etc.
John Williams' 'Indiana Jones Theme'
Mannheim Steamroller's Music For Wildlife album, etc.

We Are the Campions by Queen...or Down under by Men at Work, he was a great guy and you could see how much he cared about animals, wish there was more people in the world like him.

"...SHOT THROUGH THE HEART,
AN' YOU'RE TO BLAME,
YOU GAVE LOVE A BAD NAME"

There's a country and western song for every occasion. They should have played the Dolly Parton classic-
"So your telly's on the blink an' your man's been stabbed through the heart by a poisonous fish, but at least his life insurance can pay for the botox"
(in B-minor)
