I'm tossing around the idea of moving from east end of Long Island, NY to Rhode Island. I have 10 & 13 yr olds

and two dogs, so it would need to be good school district & safe area. Any ideas, suggestions on areas. I've never been to RI & don't know where to begin looking. I'd like rural area with town or small city within 30 minutes drive. Any first hand tips would be welcome.

look at the website on major realtors such as century 21. they usually have access to school reports on various districts as well as demographics of different areas.

then look up the areas newspapers to see what is happening in the area as far as crime, events, attractions, etc.

I left Long Island myself 2 years ago, but for NC. good luck
