Fairy dust. I've only seen pix and heard tales of Male leprechauns. and I'm a storyteller. They make shoes for the fairies, who pay them with gold, and being frugal, keep said gold hidden in black kettles. So if there are only males, where did they come from? I'm guessing since fairies are magic, they must have created the Irish imps for their own purposes (shoes)!!

Leperchuans are members of the Tuatha De Dannan. They were the race that conquered the Formosians and gained control of Ireland before humans invaded. Check in the mythology section of your local bookstore for Irish folklore and legends to learn more.

I saw one in my backyard late at night the moon was behind some billowing clouds but as cloud moved on... the moon light shone into my garden and there was a Little fellow standing in my veggie patch eating carrot he just pull up
where he came from..that's his business
