I need help with these problems. Find the derivative:
1. 1/sqaure root of 2
2. 8^2/x^7
3.(4x^3+3x^2)/(-5x)
4.1/(x+1)^5
5.-sin3x
6.x+1/x^-3
7.sin x/2x

OK, asking for help on that many problems is a bit much, so I'll help you a start your way:

1.) The derivative of a constant (no variable) is 0.
2.) Express 1/x^7 as x^-7, then use the product rule: the derivative of x^n = nx^(n-1)
3.) (4x^3+3x^2)/(-5x) = 4/5 x^2 + 3/5 x. You should be able to do the derivative from there.

5.) Start with the formula: d/dx sin x = cos x.
6.) x + 1/x^-3. Convert 1/x^-3 to x^3, leavig x + x^3. You should be able to do the derivative from there.
7.) sin x/2x. Convert x/2x to 1/2. Sin 1/2 is a constant, so the derivative is 0.

I don't remember offhand how to do derivatives of fractions like that, so I'll leave #4 alone.

4. 1 / (x+1)^5 is (x+1)^-5

d/dx (x+1)^-5 --> -5(x+1)^-6 --> -5 / (x+1)^-6
