I think Hugh Jackman would do a good job. He is a fellow Aussie and can be enthusiastic which would be needed in a movie about Steve Irwin!

I think Jim Carrey. I know there's no resemblance between the two but you would need someone larger than life and in your face to play the part. I think he fits the bill.

So, what would be the plot?
Once upon a time there was this guy, and he liked nature, messed with it a little, and then got killed by it.
It's hardly blockbuster stuff. I don't think we'll ever see it, unless it's made-for-tv by the Hallmark Channel or something...
