The no-use period is 30 consecutive days with Hotmail, not one year or three months. As for Yahoo - you can send them a delete request and they'll liquidate the account fairly quickly.

yahoo because yahoo! have more features than hotmail and have better features, but i have both yahoo and hotmail

stop using the account and it will be closed down automatically after 90days, i think.
