Children should obey their parents, even un-cooperative parents.

Most parents seem to think that it is the teenagers who are uncooperative.

Children should try to talk WITH their parents.
Especially so if the children are teenagers.

However, if it is the uncooperative parent who is a teenager (or acting like a teenager) ....

Hi there. Depend what you mean with un cooperative. If it means setting rules, standards that seem old fashioned - be happy. They love you. It is impossible for parents not to love their children. If you read the Bible, you will see that you should obey your parents, and not only if they are nice to you. You will really be thankful one day. Good luck - I know it is hard, but please give it a chance.

Proverbs 4:1 My children, listen to what your father teaches you. Pay attention, and you will have understanding.

I think what you mean is what's a parent to do with a teenage brat that won't listen and follow the rules? If you want your parents to respect your life's choices you have to show them that you're mature enough to make intelligent decisions. Parents aren't supposed to be your friends. They are there to prepare you for the world, and as an adult you will have a lot of uncooperative people you will have to learn to get along with. If they say no it's because they don't want you to get hurt.

its you perception that you parents are un coperative. U would realize that you were wrong when you become parents of teenagers!! In case you are facing a problem call a child care help line in your country. They will be eager to tell you whether there is a problem in the first place. In case of a problem it would be sorted by them!!

Refer Mark Twain's remark about his parents
"At teenage I thought they knew nothing (uncooperative)
At 40 I was astonished how much they learnt during that period".
