Hi!
Wheater wise, it is still quite dry, but in October the rainy season is about to start.
Traffic is chaotic when this happens in Caracas, and considering October is "Back To School" month, it is kind of worse! Really traffic there sucks!
Now... on the brighter side, Caracas is quite a green city, and it gets BEAUTIFUL when rain comes. :)
In this precise moments, and with the elections being this december, most people are kind of tense and distracted by this fact so... If you go in October, be sure to leave in October!
Caracas is a very beautiful city, although it might be quite unsafe. Just hang around in crowded places and do not wander alone.
Be sure to visit:
- El Hatillo Town
- Ávila Mágica
- Sambil Mall
- And go to a Baseball game! Season starts in late September!
Leones de Caracas is the local Caraca's team.

Goodluck!

Caracas is a huge city squashed down in a mountain valley. It's exciting, but very noisy and a lot of air pollution. The taxi drivers are nuts!! I would love to go back to Venezuela but with the mess it's in with that stupid president, no way. I'd be afraid I couldn't get out, and who's to say how Americans would be treated there now. Oh yes, in October it's very cool there. Take a jacket. And a bullet proof vest just in case.
