while driving, i noticed a "put and lag" kind of slow down like the car wasnt getting gas. fuel injector cleaner cleared it up for a while, maybe a month or two. then i went to start it and the car will start, but then putter and die out like once again its not getting fuel. is this a dirty or bad fuel injector, or is this a faulty fuel pump or what? what are the symptoms to these two problems?

It could be nothing more than a clogged fuel filter. If it is a fault pump then the car would not start at all. You could have a clogged screen on your fuel pump tho, which in most fuel injected cars these days are located inside the tank itself. That is a big job. Try changing the fuel filter or filters, some vehicles have two of them, first. That would be the least expensive remedy.

If that doesn't work then check your injectors. Also you might check for moisture in the tank.

A comon problem is the fuel pump module in the tank. They run for about 450 dlls.

Sounds like a fuel pump problem. I would think it is bad or has loose or dirty electrical contacts.
