It depends on the question. I usually will for questions that require an answer to explain something because I don't like to give the same explanation as someone else. I often answer questions that require a little research and I don't bother if it's already been done unless I find the previous answers less than satisfying. I don't read the answers for poll type questions until after I answer.

I do the same thing. I am luckier if I make up my own answer first. Otherwise, I might have a really great or sassy reply and then it's stifled by what others said. If I duplicate and somebody doesn't like it...go jump.
(have YOU ever used that phrase before...***raised eyebrow***)

Yes I'm like you. I read the question then put what I feel. What is bad tho. Is sometimes I'm the only one that has a different opinion....lol
I don't care. I just leave it as is. I answer how I feel and what I am thinking. Not just whatever everyone else puts down.

I write the first thing that pops in my head and post it. Then I read the answer. I don't want to copy anyone and that way it is my answer.

Sometimes people post answers the same time as you so they don't show up until you submit yours. Duplicate answers can't be avoided sometimes.

I usually don't read them before I answer- I sometimes scan them to see if someone else has already used my source tho.
But sometimes that happens anyway- if you are answering at the same time. I once had someone accuse me of copying them on purpose!

I do because I want to see what others are saying. I think it's interesting what others are saying even if I have the same answer.
