One answer above was partially wrong. The Pentium and Celeron are _both_ Intel CPUs.
The difference is that the Celeron provides lower performance at a lower cost.
Hence, the Celeron is a better choice if you want the cheapest computer possible. The Pentium is better if you can afford to spend more money.
Power consumption is a third factor to consider in a mobile computer. Theoretically, a slower Celeron should consume less power than a faster Pentium, and thus the Celeron should provide longer battery life. However, there are so many other drains on the computer's battery that this relationship cannot be depended upon completely.
Basicly, chose between power and price, and compare battery life for similar machines.

For all intents and purposes, you’re likely to get as good a performance with Celeron-M as with Pentium-M, the main difference being the speed in undertaking processor-intensive applications, such as number crunching (say, you have thousands of columns and rows in Excel), multimedia processing, and gaming. The primary difference between Celeron-M and Pentium-M is the CACHE SIZE, or the BUILT-IN MEMORY of the processor–the Pentium-M usually has twice to four times the Celeron-M’s cache, so it can process large amounts of data faster. But with simple tasks like Internet surfing and word processing, performance is usually the same.
Another difference between the Pentium-M and the Celeron-M is the battery life. The Pentium-M chip has a power-saving feature that lets it change consumption according to need, to extend battery life. Celeron-M doesn’t have this, so the consumption is constant, hence limiting you to two to three hours of life per charge on standard battery packs.
So the winner is PENTIUM-M.

The same as in Celeron D and Pentium D.
The difference between the two is of Cache Memory. Its the memory which can be directly addressed and accessed by the CPU making it perfom faster.
Initially Celeron used to come without a cache memory, but nowadays it comes with a significantly lesser cache (128 , 256 or 512 KB) as compared to equivalent Pentium Processors (which generally have caches of 1 MB or 2MB).
Obviously then, Pentiums are better and costlier than equivalent Celerons.

Basically the Celeron has a smaller amount of L2 Cache than a Pentium does, a lower clockspeed, and a lower bus speed. Thats the reason they are cheaper. On average a Celeron will run about 40% slower than a Pentium.
And for twity up there they are both made by Intel, AMD is the other manufacturer and their proceessor names are completely different.

the Pentium is stronger V. of processors that can handle animation the have a bigger cash and handle many information but the celeron is weaker and very limited cash is just limited by 128Kb that very small amount so that is a very bad thing makes the processor slow down and very bad for hi quality processing information
