My brother and i were united with childhood friends recently. We all met up again after so long at a Dinner my Mum threw. My brother seems to like the Girl...and i think her brother is quite a catch.
Now...just wondering...is it proper...i'm just wondering now.....if a brother and sister from one Family can date a sister and brother from another Family. If the answer is NO...then how can we sort out this dillemma. Granted, my brother is older than me...but he has a girlfriend at present, and i'm Single.
Geez...what to do guys...?

Yeah of course you can date em - theres no blood relationships there so its fine! However - not sure if its a good idea your brother starts cheating on his girlfriend - he may want to get rid of her first!

This is funny you asked this question because I know of a case like this right now in my family. Actually all that are involved are my MOTHER, my MOTHER'S OLDEST BROTHER, my STEPFATHER, and my STEPFATHER'S OLDEST SISTER. Let me tell you how it all got started. My mother's oldest brother married my aunt who is my stepfather's sister. A few years down the road, my mother married my stepfather who is the brother of my aunt that married my mother's oldest brother. I know it sounds confusing, but I hope you understand. There is nothing wrong with this. I could see if they were blood family to you, but this is not the case. Just think you guys could be one big happy family either way!!!!!

I think it is aw some. If both of you married into the same family, you would stay close throughout your lives. It would be funny that you and your brother would also be in-laws, but since the other guy and gal are not related to you and your brother, this relationship is OK.

there is nothing wrong with it but do they share the same feelings? plus, your brother is already in a relationship so why would he want to jeopardise that? another thing is, if he does decide he is going to cheat on his present partner, then you need to inform the girl that he is attached as if you dont, her brother might tar you with the same brush simply for keeping quiet, inform your brother that you would tell though.

My fella's brother lives with my brother's girlfriend's sister!! Very confusing but all okay and legal!! Only thing that would be hard is if anyone fell out!

its ok i hope as i set set my brother up with my (now ex) girlfriends sister (who have been married for 10 years) the only problem is your brother isnt single
