I meant that the person that knocked you out in the tournament says sorry.

I always say "Thank you, that's Poker. There is no need to be upset or a jerk if you get knocked out. It's a tournament. By design there should only be one person left.

Smile, nod, and say what is on your mind. If it was a good game, if he is lucky, if you caught a bad break, if he caught a break. Poker is like any game. Talkin trash is part of a game. But don't wait til the game is over. You were too nice during the game, if he said sorry.

What exactly are you supposed to do?

Of course they are not REALLY sorry. Even if they got lucky, it's likely they were just acknowledging their good fortune and the 'sorry' was just their way of saying you were unlucky.

Maybe 150 years ago you would have pulled a six gun and blown their head off. These days, you can smile, walk away and go drown your sorrows with a beer.

Look at them straight in the eye and say "If I knocked you out I wouldn't be sorry"....Playing poker many years.

i'd pull what they call a mike matasou where you get all mad freak out and curse,or i'd pull a phil hellmuth which is the same thing execpt it's worse.i also have played poker for 3 years and 7 months.

Take it as a nice gesture. It's the goal to knock you out but no hard feelings because that person thought you were a good person.

Last time it happened to me, I said "Ah, it's part of the game." I've played (Hold 'em) for about a year.

You say "good game" or "good play".

You can also be a jerk and say something about his family but that would be wrong.
