you can download the basic without a credit card if you go with the pro then you have to pay.

Go to http://www.limewire.com
When you go to download... Click on the Basic version.... this is free... alough when your using it, it always asks you to upgrade to pro which is kinda annoyin....but the alternative around it is to download a serial number for the pro version.... this is avaliable on the basic version.....

just go to download.com and search "limewire"
as simple as that!
do u think anyone buys limewire?? we just download for free.
and by the way, if u want the PRO version, all u need to do is to search "limewire pro" in limewire itself.. u get a list of limewire users who have got da pro version readied for others to download.
