Is it...? Or is it just a myth?
Are teenage girls more shy when they are near the boys they like? So shy that she won't even dare to look at him and talk to him, despite the fact that the boy is trying to begin a conversation?
Given that the girl is pretty mature and studious.

keep watch on her if she seems okay around her friends and shy around the guy it probably means she likes him. find out some of the things she is into and then start up a conversation, that might break the ice and she will feell more comfortable.

Yes it can be normal to be both mature & studious, but at the same time be tongue-tied and unable to communicate, with someone to whom you are attracted.

hmmm interesting. Well, i just had a story from my ex when she and my son were in a store. Apprently a teenage girl kept following him around but when he looked at her she hid her face in her mom's shirt.

food for thought.

It's not a myth and it really depends on the girl and situation.

True ...

A little further, she can also get clumpsy. Trip over her shoes, spill liquids on herself and him, and other un-graceful stuff.
