It is, I have 1 & 2 on DVD, or do you mean Rudyard Kipling's version?

Jungle Book (the original) is available. But Disney has just started putting the old movies on dvd since 2 years.
They tend to do an official re-release every 5 or 6 years.

It should be. Disney release new films, which are available to buy for a while, then they remove them from sale for about 7 years and release them again. I found this out because I wanted The Little Mermaid ( I know!), and thats what they said. But I reckon Jungle Book is on DVD. I mean have you even looked?! Ha ha!

Disnay only release their 'classics' for a limited period of time every few years, so you will find from time to time you can't get jungle book, snow white, lion king etc., go to the disney store online it usually tells you when a film will be released.

they're releasing all the disney classics on dvd slowly one by one. Then they make a huge thing about advertising them. peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast are also not available on dvd

Disney only release old classics every so many years. It is a simple supply and demand stragedy (when u can't get it uwant it more). When they do release it they add a lot of hype to increase sales.
Trust me I worked for the company.

They're too busy making 50 sequels to the movie so they can release in 20 different special editions and 10 different collectible covers.
