Tell her that you really like her - but you really don't want a girlfriend, since you can not devote as much time to her as you would like to.
You are in 7th grade - I promise she will get over it. She may be mad or hurt for a few days - but as the mother of a 7th grader - I can tell you that they do re-bound very quickly.
One day the girls are all upset over liking a boy that doesn't like them- the next day they don't like the boy - the next day after that - the bopy likes them... they like the boy again.. then the two "go out" for a couple days and then break up - then the process starts all over again with someone else.
It is 7th grade.
Good luck.

It's not that complicated. There's also no avoiding it.
Emotional feelings come wih a lot of turmoil and discomfort.
The short answer is you just plain have to tell her. Girls do this to boys all the time. Next time be more careful about getting out on a limb like that. It' all a normal part of growing up.

tell her you aren't ready for a relationship. It might hurt her feelings, and she might cry, but she'll get over it.
You are SOOO young, you do NOT need to be in a relationship right now. Focus on school, sports, friends, music, whatever. But be a KID while you can, you have the rest of your life for relationships!

I am in 8th grade, just tell her that you think it would be better if you and her were just friends again. See what she says, if shes heart broken then tell her you didn't mean to hurt her, but you would rather just be friends. And don't write a note, just tell her in person..it seems a lot nicer when you do it that way.

oh that's bad, first think what she will do or how it will affect her as a person, don't ever try to hurt someones feelings but if you feel its inevitable call her when you are alone and tell her how you feel, appreciate what she has done for you and how greatful you were for her love and finally you can pop the big one!
