Since I doubt that most insects have a circulatory system such as ours I think the green is something else. Human blood is a bluish red color and when it is exposed to oxygen it looks bright red. Blood won't change to green If human appear yellow or green it indicates a liver disease which allows bilirubin to build up in the skin and mucous membranes. The bloos always remains its red or reddish color.
