I noticed that the Rolling Stones' '60s songs are finally available for download. On a whim, I bought some. They sound great! Better than I remembered. Not just Satisfaction and Honky Tonk Women, but the really OLD stuff. The R&B covers they did before they started writing their own songs. 12 x 5, and other early albums. The songs were well recorded, and really rock. I hadn't heard them in decades and really enjoyed another listen.

Any other old farts who remember?

The first time I saw the Stones live in Concert was in the mid-sixties. As far as Classic Rock n' Roll goes there is no one better.
The true test of a band's greatness is can the songs stand the test of time. The Stones have so many songs over such a long span of time that are ageless wonders. I would have to say the greatest rock n' roll song of all time is 'Satisfaction.'
I remember when it first came out and given the times it was unbelievable and they just kept on truckin.'

The Stones are the Greatest man. Can't believe Mick can still run around the stage like he does. Give himself a heart attack , he will. Richards STILL looks pretty much the same, well so does Mick. And Charlie Waters is still pounding it out. Gotta love it!!
Stone me ANYTIME! Hehehe Seen them @ least 10 times . Dead Flowers, Sweet Virginia....oh myyyyyyy. No pickin just one favorite here. Love 99% of them. I think they are MUCH better than the Beatles. I don't care for them much.

I remember-dude- things have really changed since the sixties. I bought my first house back then for 13k. Gays were in the closet and the black thug was Hendrix.
