Ebay is a place where people come to sell their stuff. Ebay doesn't actually sell anything. You can get some things cheaply on there. It depends on what you're looking for. Some things end up going for a high price, but you can get some really good deals, too.

Some stuff is dirt cheap. Other stuff isn't. Depends on market demand and whether the seller has an inflated idea of an item's value.
