It depends on where you are going, your body type, face shape, coloring (skin, eye, and hair), and personal style. Fashion is a very personal thing, so it's hard for a stranger to give you tips on what works best for you.
Assuming that this is a typical "dinner and a movie" kid of date, then you want to look cute and flirty without going too sexy. An overly sexy look can look trashy when you are going someplace more casual. Save the minis for clubs and bars.
Either a mid-calf to above the knee skirt with a small swing to it. Like a tulip or a-line. Then a cute top to match, and a mid-height heel, maybe something strappy.
OR
Jeans or capris with a cute top. Lower heels in a more basic shoe, nothing too high or fancy.
Then your hair and makeup should be a more natural look. Play up your eyes a bit, but leave the face and lips done in neutral shades to match your natural undertones. Most guys don't like heavy makeup, nor do they like dark lips, so keep it simple.

personally i am liking a sun bronze look. If you are in winter it will look refreshing, and if you are in summer you will look just plain beautiful. Go for a light base obvisouly to cover blemishes. Then on your eyes a dark brown undercoat over that a gold cream eyeshadow and lastly a light gold powder. Dust the same powder under your eye's. Then use a brown eye pencil and loads of mascara. Give your cheeks a light glow using blush or a gold shimmer if you have one and clear or light pink lips. It will look stunning!

I would ask a friend to help you. Preferably someone whose style you admire. Of course if you have a lot of money you can hire a professional hair or make up person and buy new clothes. Be open minded about styles you may not have worn before. Sometimes someone else can come up with something that looks really good.

well lucky girl! the best way is to stay natural and keep the make up mimial....but if u wanna go in for make up just do a very mimial amount skip the foundation if u have clear glowing skin and just add alittle concealer under ur eyes,pat a little powder...wear nude lip gloss/transparent gloss and make statement eyes by wearing gold or copper eye shadow(powder shadow stays longer),then add a little grey or brown if ur fair,pink if ur olive complxioned , moss green if ur dusky.just blow dry ur hair and tousle it with a dollop of styling pomade( try kerestace or loreal) to give him touch me tresses! wear a black or red dress to keep him wrapped! all the best!

wear something abit sexy but comfortable, you dnt wanna feel uncomfortable on your date as it will ruin the mood. you could try a nice pair of jeans with a flowy top and strappy heels or a simple little black dress. smokey eyes and subtle lips is always a sexier option. but dnt over do it!
