No, you do not get the $800.00, that is a fine the judge imposed for contempt.
On top of that, you still wont get the child support, because your X is now in jail. The longer he stays in jail, the more he or she gets behind in his or her child support, provided he or she had a job Pryor to going to jail.
So, the courts will get their money, but you will have to wait for yours.
Its a good system we have, you will just have to wait and watch to see how it gonna works for you. In the mean time, you may need or want to think about looking for a part time job, (Welcome to Wal-mart) because if your X, gets sent to prison for not paying the child support, is the state gonna step in and pay while your X is in the slammer.
Some states revoke the license of the father or mother who fail to pay child support. Now that's real smart, because now the X, can't get to and from work, so he or she can no longer make the money to pay the child support.
I really don't know what else to tell you, its confusing. You don't know who is really being punished, the child, mother or X.
The real deal is that, the government does not know whats going on in the work place and reall doesn't care. The problem is a simple fix.
Solution: Go after the companies who are hiring the dead beat dads, fine them.
If the dad is working, the payment should be garnished from his check, sent directly to the courts or an account set up for the child. All this can be check via court records, pryor to employing an individual, if these companies are doing checks on who they hire. A check for this should be automatic and it realeses the courts of the burden of these types of case and free up the courts for more important matters. Should the X loses his or her job, then a period of time is placed on the X to seek employment elsewhere. should the X be imprisoned, still there are ways to which the X can work to pay the support needed, if the state steps in to pay anything, then the X will work it off with the prison

I dont know about Illinois, but in Florida the money he has to pay to get out of jail goes directly to the custodial parent..that he owes money too.. so more then likely yes u will recieve a check a few days after he pays it, from the courthouse..
Dont listen to the person ahead of me they obviously havent been in this situation before ..
My x was taken to jail for not paying his child support and the judge put him in jail for the child support amount that was owed that month to me, i got every dime of it.. they didnt keep any of it.. they cut me a check for the amount as soon as my x paid it to get out of jail..

Texas penal code 25 states that non fee of youngster help is a criminal offense. I took the e book to my interior sight police dept (i'd wish they have one,yet howdy) they arrested my ex and placed him in penal complex. He have been given probation and did no longer pass over many extra funds, finally paying 23,000 while he have been given an inheritance. in case you arise for your self, with perseverance, you will get your funds.

if that's his bail? no.
if that's the past due support balance? yes.
poor guy. I really hope it was because he's a deadbeat and not because he got laid off and couldn't pay the support.
