I am doing my own thing but I have to do a critical study as well which means I have to include other pieces of work of my own and bits other people have done that have inspired my work.

Black is a color that can be associated with many things like elegance, silence, night, death and technology. If you are looking for ideas, I find it useful going to gettyimages and looking at the pictures under the subject I'm researching.
Visit http://creative.gettyimages.com/source/home/homeCreative.aspx and enter your keyword on the search box.

Try learning to brainstorm. This helps anytime you have trouble finding a creative solution to a problem. Take a clean piece of paper and write the problem at the top, then write everything that comes to mind on the paper. Don't dismiss anything, write everything. Write until you run out of associations or paper, whichever comes first. Then go back and look at your list and look for things that will work or suggest something else that might work.
Take black, for example.
Absence of color
funerals,
grave clothes,
darkness, night,
black hole,
little black dress,
black mood,
You get the picture. Then you'll have something creative to get your juices really flowing.

Just graveyards... or anything black? There's a big definition there. try looking for Charcol drawings... they're usually just black and white unless they're mixed media, and I know a lot of people like to take black and white photos in graveyards, try doing a search for them. Are you just looking for other people's artwork or are you doing your own? You really should give more detail.

What kinda help are you looking for? I think you'll have to be more specific... Google images 'graveyards' turns up tons of stuff.
