On the truck in the area there was a box, and then his friend there loaded the truck with more stuff and drove it off. Was Steve Irwin's body in the box? I couldn't tell if that was the case.

I don't believe his body was in the box. He was reportedly buried at Australia Zoo earlier in the week at a private ceremony.

I am totally secure in my manhood to say I cried like a little baby while watching last night. When his little daughter Bindi got up, and read her farewell message to her dad, I completely lost it! She was so well spoken, for a young child. I can definitely see her following in Steve's footsteps, and possibly having her own TV Show some day.
Steve Irwin was just such a "likable" person. He totally changed the way people looked at wildlife. It is a real shame he is gone, but at least he died doing the job that he loved so much. God bless him, and his family in this time of great sorrow.

It was the Zoo's crocodile keeper packing Steve's equipment onto his truck for the last time and driving it out, it was ceremonial.... Steve Irwin was laid to rest in a private ceremony. His daughter was amazing during the service.

Apparently Steve as buried last week at the zoo in a private ceremony for family and close friends.

The memorial was so sad, my heart so goes out to Terri and the kids.

Nope, had classes and work. It was probably just one of the boxes they use to enclose a croc for transport, and so they had it there as a "tool of the trade" for his memorial, just like I've seen people who were carpenters having their tools at their memorial. As far as I've read, he's already buried. Also, they could pay for a nice casket, not just a box.

Since it was a public memorial I don't think his body was in that box. Besides they had a private funeral for him earlier.

I think Bindi was so brave. Her speech was excellent and hopefully she will follow in her father's footsteps.
