ok i'm having this report for anne and green gables and i need it or i'll get an F!! i just want to ask whats the summary for anne of green gables?? or at least the plot i need it plz!!! wat do you think of it?? i need to research on it but there... its hard to find it in google!! plz!!! i'm only 12 and i need it or my teacher will get mad at me!! you know how it felt when you were a kid and you have homework to do!!

If you won't put in the effort to at least read the book, then you might a well rent the movie. But don't expect to go through life assuming others will do your work for you.

Anne of Green Gables is the first in a series of Anne books by the Canadian author L. M. Montgommery. Anne Shirley is an11 year old orphan adopted by Matthew and Mailla Cuthbert who live in Avonlea Prince Edward Island Canada in the early 20th C.
Anne of Green Gables tells the tale of the early years of Anne's life with the Cuthberts, her times at school with her friends and descriptions of her activies with her best friend Dianna Barry.
There are several more Anne books that progress until she is married.
The Anne of Green Gable series
is one of the most revered children's novels in history. A musical of the same name has been done in PEI for almost 50 years at the Charlottetown Festival .

why can't u read the book?? it's reallly good :). just start it..if u cant' finish yeah rent the movie ( i havent seen it but i hear it's good ). i really cried a lot in that book, it is very moving.
how i remember it is that anne is an orphan, and is always judged by her looks (skinny w/ fiery red hair). she is very vain, and optimistic and creative for a little orphan, and a lot of people either love her or hate her upon first meeting. and everything that happens in her life is an "accident"; the woman who adopted her actually wanted a boy (so anne felt unwanted); the neighbor said she was ugly and her hair was too red (she felt judged for something she herself was self conscious about); her friend's parents didn't like her cuz they thought she got her drunk (it was complete accident, she thought it was just jelly, but it was special preserves that marilla made for older guests). all that stuff happens to her, and she always is somehow able to prove to everyone, and herself, that she is Worth Something. and she eventually changes Everyone's lives somehow in the sleepy town. it is really a wonderful story~
