Pink Floyd's first name was Architectural Abdabs because Roger Waters was at the university studying architecture..I have a mini CD in which they played I'm a king bee (Moore) and Lady Lea (in blue tight) by Syd Barrett, then later on the name was changed by Syd Barrett to Pink Floyd because he really enjoyed these blues players named Floyd Council and Pink Anderson and thought the name was more creative and catchy than the old one.
Cheers
