People will never change for the better. The key is to focus on your life, your family and friends and just cease the day whilst you can. Live every moment as though it is your last and most importantly smile, because if you are happy within yourself no-one can hurt you.

If no one cares anymore or even tries, why do you think you are receiving all these answers of help?
Why are you asking for help if you think all people do is hurt and kill each other?
Your statement is contradictory. You ask for help from those you think will not give it to you.
Sure, many of us have had moments in our lives when we feel the whole world is against us, but deep down we know that is not true. You might feel you are swimming against the tide, but hey, aren't we all in the same boat? (Please forgive that mixed metaphor, but it's getting late and I'm tired).
It's almost midnight here and I'm writing this to try to help. I could give a glib answer and get 2 points just as easily, so I'm not doing this for selfish reasons.
Why do you hate the world? Why do you hurt? Is it a general feeling or has something specific triggered his off? If you are feeling low today, think how you can start a better life tomorrow. It doesn't have to be anything drastic, just something that will make you realise that it's not all negative.
Money? It's important. I work so I can earn enough money to feed, clothe and look after my family. I wouldn't say I am obsessed with it.
I hope you change your attitude to the world. It has its failings, but it's the only one we've got. Make the most of it.

Consider that there isn't a point for a minute.
Is that any reason to make YOUR life pointless?
I say that because you can't base your sense of worth,
well being and security upon the norms of everyone
as a collective.People are stark raving mad..Most of them are on TV,which I suggest you turn off,as it has
an ill effect on reflecting accurately upon us as humans. The mirror is ugly because WE are.
I think that most people recognize that fact,at least
deep down inside.
It cannot explain what selfless acts of love people
do for each other on a daily basis either.so I think
that it's all in the way that you hold the kaliedascope.
Many would argue that it's 'caring too much',obsessing'
that has most people caught up in an infinite treadmill of materialism and endless crusades in the name of.
But turn off the TV,go into your town /city and you will see that people care, very much and that they aren't
selling you religion or celebrity skin care products or anything.Even better,go out of the country and see
that everyone really cares a lot,in some way about something or someone and that it's universal.
I hope you find a little peace.

Your statement has been made false by the positive words of encouragement given by everyone here. If no-one cared why would they answer your question.
Your statement also fulfils Beck's Triad of Negative Schemas- a feature of depresion. Negative thoughts about 1) Self , 2) the world 3) the future.
I suggest you seek help. There is no shame in feeling low and there are many people willing to help you. There are many charities such as MIND, seeing your family doctor who may recomend a psychiatrist, or simply speking to a friend about your feelings.
Check out http://bluepages.anu.edu.au/ which is an australian website that provides useful info on depression. It also has a computer based CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) programme.
Unfortunately there is a lot of stigma attached to mental illness, most of which originates from small minds. Ignore them and associate with people who will love and care for you.
Be active. One of the answers given was to get out there! I agree- the more you engage with people the better. You will develop a support network, which will be very useful when you go through difficult times.
Exercise- great way to keep both body and mind fit. Do cardio rather than weight training. Through aerobic exercise you may find a calming of your mind.
Read the consolations of philosophy by Alain De Botton. He summarises the works of great philosophers such Epicurus, Senneca, Socrates, and Montaigne, to name but a few. Read his chapter on Montaigne -v funny.
I've not answered your question directly, because I personally dont know if there is any point. However, practically speaking we are alive, and we might as well do our best for ourselves and each other, rather than asking the question.
I wish you the best of luck!

Every1 at some point in time feels this way and i can tell u from a point where i was thrown in2 a not so nice ward 3 times when my whole life had been turned upside down. The world is evolving, for the worse but as we were brought into now we have to deal with it. We will always agree/disagree with others but it is our dutie to make the best of the shite we were given. The only thing that worked for me was when u walk alone down the street don't look at the deck, look up and see wat it's all about and hopefully u can find that theres alot more around you and you will know u belong here as much as say Beckham, Elton, Blair, Jackson. We are all here to leave an impression, don't miss out!!

It seems to me that everyone has to have more or be better than the next person,if the neighbour has a new car you have to go one better,no one has any time to help anyone else ,they are all in such a hurry ,you have to go a long time before you see a natural person i.e. natural hair ,eyelashes ,boobs, nails etc ,there`s no such thing as a natural pretty person , make everyone live on the same money no credit cards ,no competition ,the world would be a better place to live in,

You need to learn to banish fear from your heart. Things can improve but only YOU can make that happen. If everybody sat back with that kind of attitude then nothing would get done! How about working out what would make you happy in life and then working a plan of how to acheive that? I understand your not big on religion but I believe that belief in something can go a long way, even if that means just believing in the good in YOU. May blessings be with you. May you find the light.

I once felt like this, you have to get off your ****, find something positive in your life and by the way , it's not the world, it's some of the people in it, but not all. There are a lot of good people in the world so dont you think it's worth the effort to make your life better?

Ellie, you just have to count on yourself to bring you out of this funk. If the world gets you down get away from the world. And by that I mean, go talk a walk on the beach, go hiking in the mountains, enjoy nature alone and fill yourself up with the beauty that is still out there.

Sounds like you hate yourself. Stop that, forgive yourself a little everyday and the hurt will go away. There's always a point and you're it. Forget about the No Ones and concentrate on the One, you.
