ITALY won the 2006 FIFA World Cup for the 4th time on Sunday, 09 July 2006. they defeated FRANCE 5-3 on penalties after both teams were level at 1-1 after 120 minutes. David Trezeguet missed the spot-kick for FRANCE & all Italian players have successfullly converted their 5 spot-kicks.

Which world cup? There have been World Cups every 4 years since the 1930's. So if your asking about this year, Italy won, France 2nd, Germany 3rd, and Portugal 4th. All the others sucked ass and got kicked out.
