I grew up just as God wanted me to, and He is all I need to believe. I miss being a kid sometimes, but that is why my daughter is so precious to me. If I never have another, I'm complete :)

did i grow up way too fast? yes and no.
studying in the topmost university kind of puts pressure on you; everyone expects you to be the best, the brightest, the first. i grew up fast this way because there's no other way to relate with the people around me other than by thinking the way they did: fast, and accurate. i learned what responsibility meant at a very early age, and was involved in a lot of things other kids might not be.
i also come from a family that values hard work and hard earned money. when there's not that much to go around, you learn a different kind of responsibility: survival.
but unlike other people in the same situation, i never lost the child in me who loves to laugh and dance and play. i can immerse myself in work for days, but i'd reward myself afterwards with anything that i love doing: bowling, chess, parties, movies, eating (lol) or simply being silly hanging out with friends.
life is what you make it. the world may force you to grow up faster than most people, but never forget to journey within to make sure that the child in you is still alive and happy. for in the heart of that child resides God, who lets you grow in the way He planned it for you, but keeps you young at heart in faith and hope so you can keep going despite all.

Yes, baby, I grew up way too fast, and learned some of life's lessons way before I needed to, or should have. But that is why I'm who I am now, and actually, I kinda like it.

And reruns all become our history. Of course I grew up way too fast- someone had to be the responsible member of my family.

Not in the time I was born. There wasn't that much of exposure to the world through the media.

Naw, I still haven't grown up. Maybe I never will. They say you stop growing emotionally when you start taking drugs. I was 13. Hmmm?.......
