Our bodies struggle to deal with a large amount of food later on in the day (but it also depends on your lifestyle, if you are a night owl, go clubbing/dancing then you'll burn it off)

My diet consists of bfast @ 8,banana or water+apple or banana around 10, lunch 12 beans/egg on toast, sandwich or dinner around 3, usually dinner at 6/6.30, and cereal before bed. Walk daily. Breakfast is very important, if you skip it fat cells can store to substitute it,if you always miss it.

I don't think it matters at all for your overall health. It might matter for your performance during the day though. If you something immediately energetic, you might want carbohydrates.
