"Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen?.... I can´t find an interpretation of this line. It doesn´t really fit to the context... So can you help me?

Cohen weaves religious/Biblical references throughout his works.

Here he's merging his own love life with that of King David and Bathsheba. Pure, sacred love being lost by the body's physical needs.

Sort of like, tied to your mama's apron strings. The person being spoken to has had their will replaced with following the rules and expectations of another.

I'm not sure any of his lyrics make much sense. My mum would disagree as she loves him and reckons he is 'a poet'
Personally, I think he is stoned
