A heating pad applied to your stomach/lower abdomen area will usually help to ease them. Also midol or tylenol or ibuprofen might work to help dull the pain.
A soak in a hot bath may also help and dark chocolate not only releases endorphins in your body but is healthy for you in moderate quantities. I find that a heating pad and a bar of dark chocolate do the trick for me. In rare cases I also take a pain reliever as well.

My sympathies. I used to suffer those kind of cramps- sometimes bad enough to make me throw up. It didn't seem much anything helped, until the doctor prescribed Naprosyn. That was a wonder drug! Now you can buy it over the counter, it's chemical name is Naproxen Sodium, sold as Aleve by trade name. Take it by the package directions.
I also used a heating pad, and Motrin if they weren't so bad. Just try a few things and see what works for you. It also probably wouldn't be a bad idea to go see the GYN to make sure things are okay, and it is just cramps. Sounds awful, but there are some other problems that can make the cramps worse and can be fixed.

Hey don't take any tablets before or after marriage without doctor's prescription. Tylenol tablet can help you. But I can give a better Indian granny's medicine. Soak some fenugreek seeds (can get in grocery or Indian stores) like a two tablespoon in one cup of water overnight. After u woke up drink the fenugreek water(but ignore the fenugreek seeds) in empty stomach. Since it's bitter taste eat sugar to avoid the taste. It's quite hard to drink but just close ur eyes and drink in a gulp. Try this it's a best medicine. But If u r getting cramps often. It's better to consult ur gynaec since u may have a chance of cysts or fibroid

first of all do u take/have any forms of contraception? cause this can be the reason. if not i find hot baths, chamomile tea, evening primrose supplements and hot water bottle at night can help. nothing gets rid of the pain completely. Being on the pill might help, but consider all the symptoms first and talk to your Dr about the pains and any decisions you make. I would recommend the natural approach first then see what happens. I known how much p pains can hurt. all the best and good luck with your decision.

There are a lot of remedies. Birth control pills shorten periods and minimze cramps. Working out helps me get out of the cramps, and just use tylenol, midol whenever you need to also what helps heating pads on your abdomen.

Calcium-magnesium-zinc pills 3-4 times a day (more on cramping days) may help. Fish or Flaxseed oil supplements help some folks. Get on a good women's multivitamin-mineral pill. Vitamin B6, E, and C have all been useful in some cases. Black cohosh is one herb that most references mention in this problem.
Good luck!

Pardon the pun, yet you have gotten dealt with the 'jerking action' extra easily (strategies out of the gutter sir); you're able to learn Joyce's Gnomon in "An stumble upon" and actual pass away 'em guessing... LOL :D
