How do you know if your IUD moves and become dangerous?

I have an IUD but have never had children and certain times i get slight pains, could this be just due to the changes in cycle?

This could be from your uterine lining swelling whether it be from your cycle, infection or just irritated from the IUD or it could have just simply moved. If you experience more than slight pain you need to see your doctor. It becomes dangerous when you have more pain, fever or if it falls out. Make sure you check to make sure the string is in place regularly. I check mine on a weekly basis.
