[Einstein quote]

I think imigination is a dangerous thing, I can imagine kicking the crap out of the entire Dallas Cowboys. However, my knowledge of how big and hard they are would stay my hand as I would probably only be able to beat up their entire defensive line rather that than the whole team.

I think imagination is much better than knowledge because it makes a person more interesting and lively. Plus, knowledge can be death to a person at times.

Yes, imagination is better than knowledge to a certain extent.

Man, everything's relative.

I can't even type out a concrete answer to this because i know it's not logical....

Imagination is wonderful because it inspires us to go beyond the norm and achieve things we never thought possible.
Knowledge brings us down to earth and gives us a sense of doubt.

So imagination + knowledge could = absolute brilliance.

But then again... it's relative to the subject at hand.

Engineering... imagination is better
Medicine.... knowledge is key when studying patients with known symptoms but imagination is wonderful for research.
Religion... imagination and knowledge combined.

I guess one must have the courage to dream of what could be but also gain the knowledge on how to get there...

Yes, but conversely, if the Wright brothers didn't use their imagination, and just listened to conventional knowledge, man would never have flown.

I say that imagination explores what is not known and knowledge defines what has been discovered.

So. to answer your question, then I say yes, imagination is better than knowledge. Knowledge has limitations whereas imagination has none.

I believe imagination is more important because imagining the many ways to ask a question using a song lyric is so much more fun than trying to solve mathematical equations. I guess it's more like....imagination is more important for me. But Einstein had both imagination and knowledge, so....now I've confused myself.....

no,these 2 need to go hand in hand
imagination is the trigger & knowledge is what makes things materialize
an example would be the invention of the airplane

however, on the hindsight & looking at your example, your knowledge would prevent you from beating the daylights out of them ,but hey at least you got to do it in your imagination

Pure knowledge is dry if not having an amalgamation with imagination. An artist, scientist, discoverer, poet etc. all have a blend of both.
