is it possible to create a password file within yahoo ( or some other web portal) with an additional password requirement. i have trouble keeping up with all the passwords i have for multiple e-mail accounts, banks, work, etc. i used to use something called passkeep on my old newton PDA, but that is not web accessible.

If you create your own web site, you could create a small program (in PHP for example) that 1) logs you in and 2) crypts your passwords using some kind of bidirectionnal crypting function (ex: Blowfish). Check out the MCrypt feature of PHP below.

It would require coding, but honestly, if you need to safely keep your passwords secure, don't trust a shared environment...

Another thing to try it this (not web based, but really great): TrueCrypt. Its free and it crypts just about anything securly.
