I support the death penalty IF and this is IF there is DNA type evidence that proves the person committed the crime. DNA can NOT be argued it is proof that cannot be turned around. As an example I saw this person do this crime. BUT when it comes down to it, I was kind of lead to believe I saw this person. Like looking at a photo line up I was asked are you sure it wasn't this person something like that. Too many people are swayed all to easily and can be lead to think they saw someone. DNA can NOT make you think you saw someone. So if there IS hen if the crime carries the death penalty oh well, I guess he won't be murdering or raping anyone ever again.

The punishment is as much as deterrence for others as it is to bring closure to the victims and families of the victims. Circumstances surrounding every crime can increase the magnitude of the damages; this is not just in the physical sense, also psychological. A criminal can be so vicious and evil in the way a crime was committed that only capital punishment can bring closure to those the victims.

Sometimes I read about a murdered child and think, this crime justifies the death penalty...............
On the other hand, the victims of these racketeers often suffers many hours or days until they die and so I think, in some cases the death penalty isn't cruel enough!
But what is with all these innocent peoples, sitting in a prison for many years or waiting for their execution? And if we condemn someone for the death, isn't it the same level of a murderer? I think, there is much to consider!
But sometimes I read about a murdered child.....................and became sad about we haven't a death penalty!!

In this society, we all seek some degree of retribution for a crime - be it little or big. personally, I don't think that the answer is the death penalty, as it costs the tax-payer over one million dollars to execute this circumstance.
I believe, that educating the incarcerated makes better sense. Sometimes, they don't learn from education due to the culture of prison, but depending on the offense, I'd rather see a murderer be sentenced to a life in prison because to take away their liberties is just as good as death.

I am usually a liberal and a balance person when coming to such issues as these, but I am for the death sentence, in fact they should bring it back in England. 'Life imprisonment' sentences are a joke in England with dangerous criminals prowling the streets in probably less than 10 years (and that's without good behavior). These 'sentences' are not a good enough deterrent for the soaring statistics of people now carrying knives and guns now a days. People may say that it is with them to look good, but deep in their hearts you don't carry a weapon without the intention to use it. With the media now glamorizing violence, people are now getting more influenced to carry out these acts, but what they don't realize is the harsh reality of it, in programs you can bounce right back up again (the Hollywood touch) but in real life, it is gone. You cant bring it back. And it is something that people should have on their consciences

I am against the death penalty, because too many times death penalty kills an innocent person and lets the criminal go free.

This is a very hard question because when it comes to your family and loved ones and even our neighbors we want to lash out if someone would ever hurt them. Children are the ones we protect so much with our life. But I feel as someone who has Christan faith it is not our right to kill them. Punish them and lock them up forever but not kill. Then we must learn to forgive. And I'm not saying it's easy and I'm not saying most people would agree with me. I am a mother and a sister and both my parents are still living. I am a very loving person. If anything of that nature would happen to my family I could not imagine what emotions would come from me. But I hope in dealing with any grief I would reach deep down inside of me where God said we must forgive our enemies and I would leave it in Gods capable hands.

DEATH Penalty should be abolished
and life imprisonment be given to
such criminals, who deserve it.

Life imprisonment should not imply
serving prison terms for 14 years
It should be for 20 years. So that
the criminal, when out after serving,
is a completely different man.

With life term, and after serving the
jail, the government should ensure
that the person is given some pensions
after coming out of the jail, so that
he can live a normal life. Because,
when he comes out, the entire world
or his relatives refuses to accept him
as a normal being. He should be allowed
for free medicare facilities as well.

This is just for a Humane Touch only,
and he should not be condemned
any more, as he had enough when
in the jail.

i'm for if the guy is accountable doubtless. Jeffery Dahlmer could have been performed. Why you ask, if i replaced into in penal complex for something of my life i could take each possibility to flee, and if I have been given caught i could supply up and attempt lower back, they are in a position to't supply you to any extent further time. how many people will to serve 5 life sentences. subsequently the penal complex device is failing in this united states of america the sentence does not fit the crimes. P.S. beginning administration isn't a deterrent the two yet this united states of america keep pushing it, a minimum of in case you kill that individual there's a one hundred% risk that individual won't in any respect harm all of us else, the place are you able to get greater powerful consequences than that.
