Culture Jamming is meant to be a form of protest designed to 'subvert' adverts and the like, to twist their meanings and show the corporations real agendas.
A good example is the GAP-ATHLETIC campaign, which turns the slogan into g- APATH-l-ETIC, or Apathetic.
However, as a form of protest its all but dead. Companies thrive on the counter-culture, the desire to be 'different' drives modern consumerism, and the Adbusters just cant see their hypocrisy in selling 'Blackspot' sneakers
