There are a number of medications that have a side effect of weight gain. Some may just cause water retention, others increase appetite and finally there are those that help you to absorb a greater amount of calories from the food you are eating. (An example of this would be pancrease/lipase/lipram often used for cerebral palsy victims or surgical weight reduction patients).

Bottom line, there has to be a correlation between what is ingested and you cannot gain more weight than is ingested with the exception of water which is often transitory.

If there were a medication specifically to add calories=weight, there would be less side effects with cancer patients, anorexics and bulimics, etc.

If you need more defined information, could you give a bit more explanation? Thanks, Ti
