I don't see why not... Why would our insignificant little polluted and overcrowded planet be the only planet in the universe with sentient lifeforms?
Any one with 1/2 a brain (and of course, capable to use this brain) must see how plausible (and possible) intelligent life from other planets must be.... I certainly hop there is intelligent lifeforms out there, because we are certainly running out of them on this planet!
