Please, I need serious answers here!

I've been married for more than 10 years, and have recently gotten a boyfriend.
I have sex with both, pretty much on a daily basis.

The whole time I have been with my husband I have noticed his penis has a really bad odour, and so does his sperm.
He's not circumcised so i've always thought it was normal.
After sex I retain this nasty smell down there for a few days, even if I wash. And I have burning for at least a few hours.

Well, not that I've had sex a few times with my boyfriend I've noticed that this odour problem is not normal. My friend isn't circumcised either, but has no smell whatsoever. I have to say, it's really pleasant to have sex with him.

So, my problem is this: I think my husband may have some type of infection, but how do I go about telling him? I can't say that I noticed my friend doesn't smell, obviously.

Who does a man go to for a problem like this? The urologist?

I really don't know what to do!
Help!

Girlfriend,

You are in a bit of a tough spot right now. First of all, there are a number of reasons why odor could be very different. First of all uncircumcised men have to practice a more thorough form of hygiene. Also, diet can impact both the odor and taste of sperm.

I think one sneaky way of handling this problem might be to enlist the assistance of your family doctor. You might inform the doctor of the smell and your burning. You can bring your husband into the doctors for YOUR vaginal infection and both of you can be treated and at the same time, your doctor can educate your husband on the need for specific hygiene regimens needed by uncircumcised males. There were old studies that correlated higher incidence of cervical cancers to wives of uncircumcised men. Not being in that situation, I don't know if those studies were ever validated, but still, it is rather common for both parties to be treated for a females "yeast" infection which can be caused by many benign and non sexual reasons. If the doctor discovers any infections, remember your current partner will also have to be treated and please be practicing safe sex!

Good luck and take care. Oh, and with no judgments, you might want to take a look at the fact that if you need two partners, perhaps your marriage has some greater serious problems than just smell. Hugs, T

Hi!
You'r right it does sound like an infection and infections in men can be serious, sometimes making them infertile. A normal doctor should seem him first to see if it can be treated wiht anti-biotics. If it can't, he will refer you to a specialist.
As for getting your husband to co-operate. Tell him you're worrid about your own health. That everytime you have sex, you burn for ages and have this odd smell. Say that you think YOU might have an infection. Go and see the doctor about it, make sure that you are all clear and that he hasn't infected you. Either way, when you come back from the docs (or tell your doctor about your husband when you go to see him and he might ask to bring him in anyway), tell him a little white lie saying that there was an infection and that he needs to have a test done to make sure he isn't infected also. BINGO! Problem solved.
However I will point out that if you are infected, your boyfriend will need to get checked out too as you may have passed it onto him.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Yes he needs to see a urologist. He has a bacterial skin infection that was caused from not being circumcised. It will take a combination of pills and cream to clear it up. But good luck getting him to go. He's had the infection so long he probably doesn't even notice the smell.

You and your HUSBAND need to go and get checked at the local GUM cinic. You will find it in your local yellow pages. But having said that if your husband doesn't wash his penis very well then it will smell. *** can sometimes taste different also due to what the man eat's. And you will smell if he ***'s inside you as it does have a slight odour. If your husband has an infection then it is more then likely thay you have it also which means that you other bloke will have to get checked too, as will any other partners that he is also sleeping with.

You might want to have your husband go to an urologist and you should be checked by your doctor. Your husband probably has an infection that he brought into the marriage with him. Do not compare him to the other man, but you can tell him you feel irritated afterward you could have infected your boyfriend with whatever your husband has. Because your husband has forskin you do not know what is going on under that skin and an infection is easier to hide.

Send him to a Urologist right away - - - - you must be blunt - - - there is nothing normal about a bad smell a bad smell is nature's way to say something is wrong. But a Doctor can speak with more authority than I - - - but do get him to go to a doctor...

Peace...

I would definitely tell him there's an unusual odor. You don't have to tell him how you figured it out. He's probably got a bacterial infection, and you may have it as well. You should both see a doctor. I would say that his regular doc could probably do the trick for him.

I hope you are using a condom with your bf.

Discuss the problem with your husband, and give him alternatives (no more sex until he has clearance from a doctor). If it is due to a STD, you had better been using condoms.
