Stallone was just a better actor in my opinion. While Arnold was decent in Predator, Twins, Total Recall, Conan, and other such flicks. Arnolds character just never seemed to appeal to me. Sly was generally playing a more believeable character. Although some people may disagree with that. As far as if they was fighting... Arnold probably would have had Sly in strength, but the rest I'd give up to Stallone, so Decision: "The Terminator" goes down about round 6 harder than Clubber Lang to the "Itallian Stallion".

That's a tough call. I suppose it would depend on the situation.
If you need a bit of subtlety in your attack, or agility, or guile, then it would be Stallone (the lightest heavyweight champ ever).
If what you want is full on intimidation, violence and destruction, wielding anti aircraft missile launchers in both hands, charging through walls and fist fighting 7ft aliens, Arnie's the man for the job.
Overall career, you'd have to say Arnie, because he learned to get a sense of humour about himself and also did some more interesting stuff like Total Recall and The Running Man. Stallone has never really pulled off humour, although Demolition Man is one of my all time favourites.
Toe to toe, right now I reckon Stallone is in better shape and could take Arnie if he made him run around a bit. In their hayday, Arnie would have pulled Stallones arms off and beat him to a pulp with them.

It's a tossup, so I referred to my movie collection and I'll have to say Arnie hands down. I have an overwhelming majority of Arnie movies.
First of all, I can understand him better. Sly slurs too much and if I didn't have captions on I can hardly understand him. Otherwise they both had a real good run, didn't they?
I loved Tango and Cash, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man, and yes even Rambo.
With Arnie, the list goes on and on...the Conan's, Total Recall, of course the Terminators, and Predator. Twins was kinda cute, and Junior caught me by surprise so much seeing him in that character, I couldn't stop laughing.

Bravo to Stallone for Rocky/Rambo and Cliffhanger
Boo to Stallone for Cobra/Judge Dredd/Demolition man etc etc
Bravo for Arnie for T2 / Predator/Collateral Damage
Boo to Arnie for Commando/Batman etc etc
Above all ... Stallone is better and express his roles better
with his "lazy eyes".

Arnold. He was a pioneer in the muscle department long before Sly came along. I remember the first time I saw him in the movie "Stay Hungry". Incredible! Arnie paved the way for actors to show off their hot bods and make it acceptable.

Arnie, he was a lot of fun, twins, kindergarden cop, etc. Stallone is like stone.
