I´m catholic. My atheist friend states " Sutil women movements did". Do you concur?

I don't know for sure but it has always been the human races tendency to tie the knot so to speak. The ancient Druids had kissing stones they were rocks with holes in them and the couple would kiss through the hole in the rock and then be classed as a couple. Many religions adopted pagan rites none more so than your own faith which was built on Druidic dates, rites and sites in the UK. I am an atheist, I believe that religion is a man-made philosophy to control the masses....

Mankind invented marriage. As a female, I don't want to get married for various reasons, I know that's very unusual but that's the case for me. Yes I'm an atheist.

Marriage, with all its legal ramifications, is a human invention. I don't think the source is available to accurately know who invented it even if some think they know.

Go to the library, and read the book "the sex contract" its not filth, but anthropology about how relationships evolved over the years and why we think marriage is so important..

Humans created marriage. Don't be fooled, marriage is just a way to transfer wealth.. it's a legality, nothing sacred about it. Religion will dress it up as some holy thing, but it's all about money and lineage.

man did. God invented love not marriage. A VAST difference between the two.

Man invented marriage as a way to ensure that offspring have a family environment to grow up in.
