There are such CONCEPTS. Whether or not these are real places? Who knows? I personally don't think so. Not in the form it's presented. It's got a lot to do with the concept of God as a judge.
Historically, though, Christians gave little worry to either of these concepts until the Renaissance, in particular when Dante's Divine Comedy was published. The Bible mentions Gehenna once or twice, and lakes of fire, but there's nothing definitive. Ironically - Don't tell this to fundamentalists, they'll get mad - it would seem Dante's inspiration for Hell came mostly from Islamic sources. The Koran, on the other hand, is generously sprinkled with references to Hell for the unbelievers and Heaven for the faithful.

Hell is a place , nobody likes to go and Heaven is also a place, everybody likes to go or visit , at least; for few days. However, both places are existed in a subtle state of our consciousness and popular belief is that it is possible for someone to arrive at both the places after life only, as a result of good or bad actions during our life on earth.

Heaven and hell exist in one's mind. If the person is satisfied and content when he dies then it can be said that he has gone to heaven. Because his mind was in a state of peace. But if a person is not unsatisfied, burdened or is wanting more from his life when he dies then he may go to hell as his mind wasn't peaceful.
So, this all depends on one's attitude towards life.

No. These are just the concepts and not real life things. They are just used to make the human thinkings better and not more than that.
You must be remembering that when in childhood we were hearing like if you will do this you will go to HELL otherwise HEAVEN....that's it.

Well the concepts exist; ask any christian or Muslim. However I don't understand how anyone could believe in such an evil concept as hell and claim it to be the result of an all loving god.

Get your concepts clear. till that remain in the middle.
Good is heaven and bad is hell but for whom? all is relative.
There is black market of everything, hell for consumers and heaven for those who are earning overnight.
Petrol pump strike for some it was heaven for that night, for some it was hell.
Everything is human perception made by humans for humans.
Tell me .... Heaven yes......hell no !!!!!!!

Yes. If you are talking about the concept of Heaven and Hell.
If you are talking about the material existence of the planes itself, maybe yes, maybe no. No one really lives to tell the tale.

I believe so.
I would rather play on the safe side and believe in heaven and when I die go there as for not believing in it and go straught to hell. What do I have to loose if there is no heaven.
